How do you recommend healthier alternatives?

When you scan a poorly rated product, HELYA automatically searches the same product category for items with significantly better scores, higher nutritional quality, and fewer additives.

Are the app's ratings influenced by brands?

No. Our ratings are entirely objective and algorithm-driven. Brands cannot pay to alter their score or to feature in our healthier alternative recommendations.

What if a product isn't in the database?

If you scan a product we don't know yet, you can easily add it! Just take clear photos of the barcode, ingredients list, and nutritional table directly through the app to expand the database.

Can an organic product have a bad score?

Yes. While organic certification is positive, an organic product can still be highly processed or contain large amounts of sugar, salt, or saturated fats. Our score reflects the complete nutritional profile.
